Packaging and testing company Powertech Technology (PTI) said in a filing with the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE) that a power supply disruption at its Xian, China plant will not have a material impact on the facility operations.

PTI indicated that production at its Xian plant was disrupted by a power outage in the early hours of June 18, but normal operations have already resumed. The incident will have no significant impact on sales generated by the facility.

PTI's Xian plant is a joint venture between the Taiwan-based IC backend house and US-based Micron Technology, and has begun operations since March 2016.

Micron and PTI in end-2014 announced their strategic partnership under which PTI will run the Xian plant and provide Micron with assembly and packaging services for a period of several years.
