Apple has encountered a patent dispute in China where a local company claims Apple infringed upon a design patent with its iPhone 6. So far, authorities in Beijing are siding with the company and the Intellectual Property Office has ordered Apple to stop selling the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus in Beijing.

The phone in question is the 100C, which is part of the little-known 100+ smartphone brand. According to the IP Office, consumers may not be able to spot the "minute differences" between the 100C and Apple's devices.

Apple is now filing to reverse the ban.
