Siliconware Precision Industries' (SPIL) sales for 2016 will continue to grow and outpace the industry average, according to company chairman Bough Lin.

SPIL is looking to expand production capacity for high-end packaging and testing technologies in 2016, said Lin, adding that sales generated from its advanced backend services will drive overall revenue growth for the year.

In other news, shareholders of SPIL have approved the distribution of a NT$3.80 (US$0.12) cash dividend for 2015. The company reported net profits of NT$8.76 billion, or NT$2.81 per share, on consolidated revenues of NT$82.84 billion.
