Phison Electronics, a Taiwan-based design house of flash memory controller ICs, will construct a second building beside its first located in northern Taiwan, with construction to be started in late February and completed by the end of 2011, according to the company.
The new building will have six stories and one basement level and entail a total cost of NT$430 million (US$14.7 million) for architecture design, building construction and equipment, Phison indicated. The building will be mainly for office use to house additional personnel and no production lines will be installed for the time being, the company pointed out.
