Packaging and testing company Powertech Technology (PTI) is expected to report revenue growth of 10% for 2016, thanks to brisk orders from Micron Technology and Toshiba, according to a recent Apple Daily report.

PTI has responded saying the company has not provided a revenue outlook for 2016.

Consolidated revenues at PTI climbed to a record NT$12.09 billion (US$362.7 million) in the fourth quarter of 2015. The company generated revenues of NT$42.52 billion in all of 2015, also an annual high.

PTI's 2012 acquisition of a controlling stake in logic IC packaging firm Greatek Electronics already helped the company to accelerate the adjustment of its product mix.

Fellow packaging and testing company Walton Advanced Engineering, which remains focused on the memory-IC field, has announced revenues for the fourth quarter of 2015 increased about 9% sequentially to NT$2.13 billion. Walton reported revenues of NT$7.91 billion for 2015, down 21% on year.

ChipMOS Technologies, specializing in panel-use driver IC packaging and testing, saw its fourth-quarter revenues decrease 1.5% sequentially to NT$4.75 billion. The result, however, beat the company's guidance of a 4-9% sequential drop.
