NAND Flash device controller supplier Phison Electronics is expected to see its October revenues top NT$3.5 billion (US$108 million) hitting a monthly record for the second consecutive month, buoyed mainly by strong controller IC demand for memory cards, a recent Commercial Times report cited market watchers as saying.

In response, Phison said it does not comment on revenue estimates made by market observers.

Phison generated revenues of NT$3.49 billion in September. Revenues for the third quarter of 2015 came to NT$10.04 billion, also a record high.

In other news, Phison's China-based subsidiary located in Hefei, Anhui Province, has begun operations with a workforce of 60 employees, the report indicated. The subsidiary is engaged in the design and development of SSD controllers.
