Intel has reported third-quarter revenues of US$14.5 billion, operating income of US$4.2 billion, net income of US$3.1 billion and EPS of US$0.64. The company generated approximately US$5.7 billion in cash from operations, paid dividends of US$1.1 billion, and used $1 billion to repurchase 36 million shares of stock.

Intel's Client Computing Group revenues were US$8.5 billion, up 13% sequentially but down 7% on year; Data Center Group revenues $4.1 billion, up 8% sequentially and up 12% on year; Internet of Things Group revenues US$581 million, up 4% sequentially and up 10% on year and Software and services operating segments revenues US$556 million, up 4% sequentially and flat on year.

For the fourth quarter, Intel expects revenues to reach US$14.8 billion, plus or minus US$500 million; gross margins 62%, plus or minus a couple of percentage points; R&D plus MG&A spending approximately US$5.0 billion; restructuring charges approximately US$25 million, amortization of acquisition-related intangibles approximately US$70 million; depreciation approximately US$1.9 billion; tax rate approximately 25% and full-year capital spending US$7.3 billion, plus or minus US$500 million.
