Adata Technology saw its August 2015 revenues increase 6.9% sequentially while fellow memory module company Transcend Information's revenues decreased about 9% on month.

Buoyed by a rally in DRAM spot prices, Adata has reported consolidated revenues for August rose to NT$1.66 billion (US$51.2 million). DRAM spot prices stopped falling and began to rise in the second half of August, the memory firm indicated.

As a proportion of company revenues, DRAM modules climbed to more than 40% in August, while NAND flash and other products made up the remaining 58.47%, Adata disclosed. SSD sales remained at more than 20% of its total revenues during the month, the company added.

Fellow memory module company Transcend Information has announced August consolidated revenues of NT$1.9 billion, hitting a six-month low. The company attributed the lower revenues to falling NAND flash memory prices, weak demand for consumer flash products, as well as intensifying price competition for SSDs.

Transcend's revenues for the first eight months of 2015 totaled NT$16.15 billion, down 10.9% from a year earlier, while Adata's revenues during the period fell 32.7% on year to NT$13.34 billion.
