Taiwan-based Phison Electronics, a provider of NAND flash device controller ICs, is expected to see its earnings exceed NT$9 (US$0.30) per share in the first half of 2015, according to a Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) report.

Phison is also set to enjoy a strong third quarter with monthly revenues likely to surpass NT$3 billion, thanks to brisk orders for NAND-device controller chips and embedded modules, the report cited market watchers as saying.

Phison has issued a filing with the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE) saying the company has not provided its revenue and profit guidance for the current and upcoming quarters.

Phison generated a net EPS of NT$4.52 in the first quarter of 2015 compared with NT$4.15 a year earlier, while revenues increased 8% on year to NT$8.34 billion.

Phison's cumulative 2015 revenues through May totaled NT$2.81 billion, rising 7.5% from a year ago.
