Windows Phone fans have been waiting for a Lenovo Windows Phone handset since 2011 and one may be on the way. In a generally unrelated story about Windows 10 upgrades, Microsoft came out with a public date for Lenovo's Windows Phone handset launch. Microsoft says the device will be out by the middle of this year.

The news is not great for many consumers, however, since the product will be limited to people on China Mobile and that means Western buyers are entirely left out.
