IC testing company King Yuan Electronics (KYEC) has acquired a total of 17 sets of equipment for NT$593.59 million (US$18.47 million) from Verigy, according to a company filing with the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE).
So far in 2010, KYEC has disclosed to the TSE two purchases of equipment from Verigy with a total transaction value of around NT$1.42 billion.
KYEC was quoted in previous reports estimating its capex for 2010 at less than NT$2 billion, slightly down from NT$2.3 billion allocated in 2009.
