NAND flash controller chipmaker Phison Electronics has reported pre-tax profits of NT$1.86 billion (US$62.08 million) on revenues of NT$15.79 billion for the first half of 2014.
The first-half earnings translated into an EPS of NT$10.31 for the six-month period.
Shipments of controller chips accounted for over 20% of Phison's total sales in the second quarter of 2014 compared to 14% a quarter earlier, according to a Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) report.
Buoyed by increased shipments of controller chips, second-quarter gross margin was about 2pp higher than the 15.68% posted in the previous quarter, said the paper. |
