IC backend service company Siliconware Precision Industries (SPIL) saw its consolidated revenues hit a new high for the second straight month in May, totaling NT$7.42 billion (US$246.92 million). The monthly figures also represented an increase of 8.8% on month and 24.2% on year.
For the first five months of 2014, revenues amounted to NT$32.31 billion, increasing 27.1% from a year earlier.
Due to increasing orders from IC design houses, SPIL is expected to post revenues of over NT$20 billion in the second quarter of 2014 compared to NT$18.06 billion a quarter earlier, the Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) quoted the company chairman Bough Lin as indicating.
