Consolidated revenues at IC packager Silicon Precision Industries (SPIL) increased 31.1% from a year earlier to NT$5.57 billion (US$184.1 million) in February 2014, thanks to brisk shipments for wireless communication chips.
On a sequential basis, SPIL's February sales were affected by fewer working days as a result of the Lunar New Year holidays, the company said. Consolidated revenues slid 7.5% compared to January levels.
SPIL's cumulative 2014 consolidated sales through February amounted to about NT$11.6 billion, rising 31% from the NT$8.85 billion posted a year ago.
SPIL estimated previously that consolidated sales for the first quarter of 2014 would drop 4-8% sequentially. The firm reported NT$18.84 billion in consolidated revenues for fourth-quarter 2013.
