China-based panel maker BOE is reportedly expanding its production capacity to land more orders for small- to medium-size panels, according to industry sources.

　　BOE, which in the past has largely emphasized large-size pane production, has seen increased government funding in recent years, which has helped it expand facilities in addition to its production capacity.

　　The company is now looking to further tackle Oxide TFT and AMOLED production for expected smartphone and tablet demand in China, with new expanded production capacity being added until 2016, the sources added.
