BlackBerry recently inked a deal with Foxconn, an ODM, who will produce various entry-level and mainstream BlackBerry 10 powered devices in 2014. The Canadian company is sailing through some rough waters and is finding it hard to maintain development costs for new BB 10 flagships. In fact, two high-end phones have already been cancelled, according to reports.
New information about the first Foxconn produced phone has emerged. Reportedly, it would cost about $150 without a contract. Also, it won't come with a physical QWERTY keypad. By the way, the device's codename is Jakarta, and is scheduled to arrive in 1H 2014. |
