A-Data Technology has posted revenues of NT$3.71 billion (US$118 million) for April, down 23% sequentially but up 58% on year. DRAM products contributed 53.48% to April revenues, while NAND flash made up the remainder.
A-Data said April revenues were affected by fewer shipping days, as the company was building its enterprise resource planning (ERP) system earlier in the month. Sales generated from its DRAM modules slid 37% on month to NT$1.98 billion in April, while the NAND flash product segment rose 3.5% to NT$1.725 billion.
A-Data expects to see second-quarter revenues grow slightly on quarter, the company said, adding that PC replacement demand from the enterprise sector has started emerging. Replacement demand for PCs will become more apparent in the second half of 2010, the company believes.
A-Data was quoted in previous reports saying 2010 revenues may hit an all-time high. It reached a record NT$44 billion in 2006.
In other news, A-Data revealed it will participate in the RetailVision Europe 2010, a CE & IT buying event for the local retailers, e-tailers and distributors, from May 10-12. "A-Data has been aggressively developing emerging markets across the globe, including China and Latin America with great success. We are now here in Europe to extend our global reach actively," said company president IU Kim, who will attend the show.
