Following Stan Shih's return to Acer's management, several supply chain partners including Wistron and Pegatron Technology have geared up trying to help the brand vendor rebound from the doldrums, according to industry sources.

　　Wistron and Pegatron have both established special teams to assist Acer in developing new products.

　　Shih is expected to be remain Acer's chairman until a successor comes on board in June 2014. There has been speculation that Acer is seeking candidates from the US and Europe to help it expand in those markets.

　　However, Acer declined to comment on the speculation.
