Memory module maker Adata Technology has seen its monthly profits erode significantly due to falling prices for NAND flash memory, according to a recent Chinese-language Commerical Times report.
Adata's pre-tax profits declined 92.7% sequentially to NT$18 million (US$0.61 million), or NT$0.08 per share, in November 2013. Prices for NAND flash chips have fallen faster than expected resulting in the profit erosion, the report quoted market watchers as saying.
  Adata's pre-tax profits for the first 11 months of 2013 totaled NT$2.625 billion, or NT$12.17 a share.
Consolidated revenues at Adata slipped 13.2% on month to NT$2.6 billion in November. The company's cumulative 2013 sales through November came to NT$30.63 billion, up 19.7% on year.
