On the occasion of 'Singles Day' being celebrated across Asia (I swear I have never heard of that before), Xiaomi managed to hit the jackpot as the company sold over 220,000 phones. And the most amazing bit is that all the devices were sold in less than 3 minutes (faster than a money minting machine?).

　　Out of the 380,000 devices that were on sale, there were 110,000 Xiaomi Mi3, 110,000 HongMi, 110,00 Mi2S and 50,000 Xiaomi droids. Three minutes earned the company $17 million, but the entire day helped rake in over $49 million into the company's.
