China-based vendor TCL sold 1.091 million LCD TVs in the China market and 891,600 units in total in overseas markets in September, respectively decreasing by 8.4% and increasing by 26.3% on year, according to the company.
The company sold 12.52 million LCD TVs around the world during January-September, growing on year by 15.4%, and sales volumes for smart TVs and 3D models hiked 145.4% and 47.5%, respectively.
TCL had strong TV sales in the first half of 2013 due to LCD TV purchase subsidies issued by the China government, said market observers, adding that TV sales for the company may only show slight or flat growth in 2013 on year due to discontinuation of the subsidies in mid-2013. |
