Siliconware Precision Industries (SPIL) is expected to see its sales for September stay flat or drop slightly from August before bouncing up in the first half of October buoyed by orders from the telecommunications and games console sectors, according to industry watchers.
SPIL will see its sales momentum taper off in September due to decreasing orders from MediaTek, said the observers, adding that the market projected earlier that SPIL's revenues were likely to hit a new high in September after its sales reached a record high of NT$6.51 billion (US$219.94 million) in August.
However, the observers noted that MediaTek is expected to start ramping up testing orders for its new smartphone solution, the MT6582, in September, therefore boosting SPIL's revenues for the first half of the fourth quarter of 2013.
Additionally, orders from AMD, Marvell Technology and telecom clients will also contribute to SPIL's sales revenues in the fourth quarter, said the observers. |
