Asustek Computer has recently partnered with China Unicom to sell its new Padfone Infinity in China and the company will also host a launch conference later this month (April) to promote the smartphone, according to sources familiar to the plans.

Asustek chairman Jonney Shih will participate in the launch and announce related bundle deals with China Unicom.

The Padfone Infinity adopts a 5-inch Full HD 1,920 by 1,080 display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 1.7GHz processor and Google Android 4.1 operating system.

Asustek's new Padfone Infinity and Fonepad are already available in Taiwan and with its entrance of China's telecom channel, some market watchers estimate the Taiwan-based vendor to achieve shipments of three million smartphones in 2013.
