Advanced Semiconductor Engineering (ASE) and Siliconware Precision Industries (SPIL), two Taiwan-based providers of IC packaging and testing service, saw consolidated revenues of NT$15.681 billion (US$523 million) and NT$5.541 billion respectively for July increase slightly on month and on year, according to the company.
Not including EMS revenues generated by its subsidiary Universal Scientific Industrial, ASE brought in NT$11.017 billion in July and NT$72.783 billion in January-July from IC packaging/testing services and materials. ASE expects its shipments in the third quarter of 2012 to grow sequentially by 4-6%.
SPIL expects third-quarter 2012 consolidated revenues to increase 2-5% on quarter and the corresponding overall gross margin to rise to 20-22% and net operating margin to 12-14%.
King Yuan Electronics (KYEC) and Sigurd Microelectronics, two Taiwan-based providers of IC testing services, have also reported July revenues. KYEC expects increased orders for testing of logic, optical sensors and consumer ICs in the third quarter. |
