Powertech Technology (PTI), Formosa Advanced Technologies (FATC) and Walton Advanced Engineering, three Taiwan-based providers of memory IC packaging and testing services, reported revenues for June growing on month by 5.89%, 2.59% and 2.69% respectively, according to the companies.
The on-month growth in June consolidated revenues was mainly because of increased orders from makers of standard DRAM and mobile RAM as well as its subsidiary Greatek Electronics' receiving increased orders for packaging and testing logic ICs, PTI pointed out.
For the third quarter of 2012, packaging/testing demand for standard DRAM is uncertain while that for NAND flash and logic ICs may increase on quarter, PTI indicated. PTI expects its business in the third quarter to be approximately the same as in the second quarter, the company noted.
