CoreSolid Storage (CSS), a joint venture between Japan's TDK and Taiwan-based Power Quotient International (PQI), has introduced a mini-SATA SSD series, dubbed HSV72, for embedded systems. The product uses single-level cell (SLC) NAND flash.
The CSS FlashMonitor was designed for SLC/MLC flash memory, using real-time sampling technology with an adaptive compensation algorithm. The company added that this technology can be applied to reduce the cost of system maintenance especially for future cloud computing systems.
Founded in 2007, CSS specializes in the design and manufacture of storage solutions applied to industrial products such as ATMs, electronic billboards, servers, games consoles, POS (point-of-sale) and IPCs.
