Memory module firm Adata Technology has announced the official launch of its new embedded MMC (eMMC) product line targeting small-form-factor systems, such as smartphones and tablet PCs.
The Adata eMMC device achieves over 200 IOPS, and is available in capacities of 4-32GB.
In addition, Adata reiterated the company's move to shift its business focus away from PC DRAM modules while placing emphasis on the development of SSDs and embedded flash solutions.
Fellow memory module firm Kingston Technology has already stepped into the field of eMMC-interface NAND memory, partnering with controller provider Phison Electronics.
