PSK Holdings had supplied reflow equipment to Micron back in March.

The equipment is used in the production of high-bandwidth memory (HBM), which are used with AI processors.

The equipment were supplied to Taiwan and Micron is expected to order more if the initial units are received well, sources said.

PSK Holdings is a supplier of reflow and descum equipment used in HBM production for Samsung and SK Hynix.

With its latest deal with Micron, it has become the only South Korean equipment maker to supply equipment used in HBM production to all three major DRAM makers.

Compatriot Hanmi Semiconductor supplies thermal compression bonders to Micron and SK Hynix but not Samsung.

Reflow equipment are used in the bump formation for the DRAM core dire and during the mass reflow process in HBM production.

All three major memory makers has a bump formation process in their HBM production but only SK Hynix has a mass reflow process.
