Rexchip Electronics, the Taiwan-based production subsidiary of Elpida Memory, has reported a 15% decline in September revenues from the previous month. The sales drop can be attributed to delayed deliveries at the request of Elpida.
Rexchip generated revenues of NT$1.64 billion (US$53.6 million) in September 2011, down 64.35% from a year earlier.
Inotera Memories has also posted a sequential drop in September revenues, in part due to postponed shipments at the request of Nanya Technology. Inotera is a DRAM-manufacturing joint venture between Nanya and Micron Technology.
Inotera saw revenues decrease 6.5% sequentially to NT$2.88 billion in September 2011 while Nanya's grew 7% on month to NT$2.57 billion. On an annual basis, Inotera and Nanya had revenue declines of 19.9% and 43.6%, respectively, compared to September 2010.
