Nanya Technology is expected to see its third-quarter revenues hit a record high, according to market watchers. The DRAM chipmaker saw its August revenues hit the third-highest quarterly level in the company's history, the watchers indicated.

Nanya has reported consolidated revenues of NT$8.23 billion (US$267.6 million) for July 2018, up 89.2% on year and 0.9% sequentially. Consolidated sales for July and August amounted to nearly NT$16.4 billion.

Nanya posted consolidated revenues of NT$24.59 billion in the second quarter of 2018, up 30.8% on quarter and hitting a record high. During the second quarter, the DRAM chipmaker saw its bit shipments climb slightly above 20% with ASPs rising around 5% on quarter.

Nanya estimated previously bit shipments would grow about 5% sequentially in the third quarter with flat growth in ASPs. The company added its bit shipment growth may decelerate to 1-3% in the fourth quarter, but reiterated its target of 48% bit shipment growth in all of 2018.

Nanya disclosed its cumulative 2018 revenues through August increased 78.4% from a year earlier to NT$59.79 billion.
