Memory-IC backend specialist Powertech Technology (PTI) has reported consolidated revenues of NT$5.58 billion (US$186.2 million) for April 2018, up 27.9% on year but down 1.3% sequentially.

PTI's cumulative 2018 revenues through April totaled NT$21.49 billion, rising 26.2% from a year earlier.

PTI said previously the company had seen its order visibility extend to the third quarter of 2018, but warned of the tight supply of passive components, substrates and certain other components and materials that would affect its supply particularly that for mobile products.

PTI has not given its financial guidance for the second quarter, but said orders for the second and third quarters continue to grow steadily.

PTI provides backend services for DRAM and NAND flash memory, as well as advanced packaging services for logic chips. The company reiterated previously its capacity expansion plan for NAND flash memory will increase more than 20% while that for flip-chip packaging will hike 100%. PTI's capex for 2018 is estimated at about NT$15 billion.
