Apple is facing a lawsuit from Corephotonics, an Israeli company, over its alleged infringement on patents covering dual lens camera technology. The lawsuit claims the iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 8 Plus violated four patents. Corephotonics says it discussed this issue with Apple before pursuing legal action, yet no licensing agreement was created.

The lawsuit says Apple dismissed the importance of the patents in question. Its lead negotiator reportedly "expressed contempt" for the patents and proceeded to say infringement on Apple's part would just lead to a protracted legal battle, causing headaches for Corephotonics.

Corephotonics was formed in 2012 and its four patents were filed between 2012 and 2015.

The company is calling on Apple to stop the infringement and it also demands compensation for lawyer fees.
