Samsung has introduced a new Galaxy Tab A model, also known as the Galaxy Tab A (8.0"). It says this version is "designed for the whole family" and since it's a budget tablet, the specs aren't particularly interesting. It runs Android 7.1.1 out of the box. Samsung hasn't said if there will be an Android Oreo upgrade.

Included with the tablet are an 8.0-inch 1280x800 display, a Snapdragon 425 processor, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of expandable storage, and a 5,000 mAh battery.

It'll go on sale in the US on November 1 for $230.
