Foldable smartphones are just around the corner and we know that Samsung and ZTE will be among first to release such devices. But they aren't the only ones that are working on foldable smartphones, as even Apple is already preparing foldable iPhones.

According to latest information, Apple is very interested in foldable display technology and is said to be partnering with LG to make it happen. LG Display has reportedly assembled a special team tasked with developing a foldable OLED panel for an iPhone due in 2020.

In a separate report, Ming-Chi Kuo, a well known KGI Securities analyst has revealed Apple will abandon Touch ID fingerprint sensor. The Touch ID will not feature in any of the next generation of iPhones.
