Amazon has a new Fire HD 10 tablet model that offers an improved battery, a 1080p display, and a lower price point. Multiple specs have been upgraded while the tablet's price has dropped to just $150. Its design is also meant to be "more durable than the latest iPad Pro 10.5."

It comes with a 10.1-inch 1080p display, a quad-core processor, and a battery that lasts up to 10 hours. The quad-core chip will make the device up to 30% faster. This model also comes with stereo Dolby Atmos Audio speakers.

There are 32 GB and 64 GB models, both of which have expandable storage. And the Fire HD 10 comes with Alexa.

Preorders have started ahead of the device's October 11 ship date.
