When Samsung officially recalled the Galaxy Note 7 due to battery issues, there was a big possibility that the company will kill the Note lineup completely. A few weeks later, Samsung denied such possibility and promised to release a new model by the end of 2017.

In the meantime, Samsung installed smaller batteries inside the left Galaxy Note 7 units and put them on the market. Just within two months, all the units of the refurbished Galaxy Note 7 device, called the Galaxy Note 7 FE (Fan Edition) have been sold out.

According to a report in The Korea Herald, all 400,000 units of the Galaxy Note 7 FE, which was priced at $620, have been sold out.
