Xiaomi continues expanding its physical presence in China and has now opened new Mi Home stores. The company wants to cover major cities all over China with the ultimate goal of reaching 1,000 stores in three years. Over the weekend, Xiaomi has simultaneously opened 16 retail locations of its Mi Home stores in China, which is 79 opened stores in the past three months.

With this agressive strategy, Xiaomi hopes to stop Vivo and Oppo from expanding, and take some market share from them, which have a lot of Chinese market share.

The Mi Home stores allows customers to experience and buy Xiaomi devices. These stores have the company's entire smartphone portfolio and other products like accessories on display.
