Huawei's reach in the United States has been limited by its lack of carrier partnerships, but it could finally be getting a boost in that regard. The Information reports AT&T has agreed to sell Huawei's next flagship smartphone beginning in early 2018, which will help the company compete against Samsung, Apple, LG, and others.

Companies in the US have sometimes been hesitant to partner with Huawei due to concerns about spying from the Chinese government. Even the deal with AT&T still needs to be finalized.

Huawei is already the third largest smartphone company in the world, so this kind of additional exposure could be quite helpful.
