Huawei's subsidiary HiSilicon is slowly getting ready to launch a new Kirin chipset. According to latest rumours, the company has done all the necessary things and is now talking with TSMC to start mass production of the 10nm flagship chipset. The mass production will reportedly start in September, just in time for the flagship phablet Mate 10, which is expected to launch a month later.

The new Kirin chipset is expected to battle with Snapdragon 835 and Exynos 8895. It will have the same Cortex-A73/A53 architecture, while its GPU will gain biggest improvements with 12 cores. It will also support LTE Cat. 12 baseband.
