It is safe to say that Qualcomm pretty much dominates the high-end market, but like with every other thing, there are always ways to make things better. Qualcomm is aware of that and is gearing up to launch an improved version of its flagship Snapdragon 835 chipset.

The new Snapdragon 836 is expected to launch as early as next month, while the all-new Snapdragon 845 is expected to be announced in January, 2018. Although Qualcomm has reportedly tapped TSMC for the production of its next-generation 7-nanometer semiconductor chips, both upcoming Snapdragon chipsets are expected to be made using 10nm process.

The only thing we know about the Snapdragon 845 at the moment is it will pack the new X20 modem that boasts download speeds of up to 1.2Gbps.
