A successor to the current Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air is allegedly in final stages of development and will launch. The original Mi Notebooks were mostly limited to Chinese market, but hopefully that will change with its successor as they come with quality design and a very competitive price.

For 2017, the 11- and 13.3-inch models will get Intel's latest Kaby Lake i5-7200U processor that should yield better performance and battery life, while the GPU department will get NVIDIA's recently announced GeFore MX150. Also included with the new models is the fingerprint scanner for better security, a 256 GB SSD and a 4-cell Lithium-ion battery.

The 13.3-inch model should be available for order starting this Monday (June 12) at CNY 4,999 ($740) for the 128 GB model and CNY 5,499 ($810) for the 256 GB variant.
