A few months ago, ZTE got fined for violating the US trade sanctions and the company had to pay $892 million, with $300 million to be paid if the agreement with the DOJ is violated. While the fine is pretty high, the company is not slowing down and has now announced new handset called ZTE V870.

The new phone comes with mid-range specifications, including a 5.5-inch IPS display with Full HD resolution, Snapdragon 435 chipset with an octa-core CPU, 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of expandable storage, 16 MP/8 MP cameras and a 3,000 mAh battery, all inside a metal body.

The price is set at CNY 2,699 or around $400, but there is no word whether the ZTE V870 will be making its way outside China this year.
