Samsung is currently enjoying the popularity of its latest Galaxy S8 lineup, but to make the equally good job with its successor, the company has already started on its development. According to Korean publication The Bell, the development of the device has reportedly begun 3 to 4 months ahead of schedule.

There is still no information available on the phones except its codenames. The Galaxy S9 is called Star, while the Plus version is called Star 2.

While we might not have any information about the phones, it is pretty much safe to say that Samsung will put the fingerprint scanner under the display. We could also see dual cameras on the rear and a single front camera with embedded iris scanner sensor. Since Samsung traditionally announces new phones around March, expect to see the same with the Galaxy S9.
