Memory module firm Adata Technology saw its first-quarter 2017 revenues climb to a 13-quarter high of NT$8 billion (US$263 million). Adata has reported revenues of NT$2.79 billion for March 2017, up 62.4% on year and 3.5% sequentially. Revenues for the first quarter of 2017 represented increases of 63.9% from a year earlier and 7.9% on quarter.

Despite seasonal factors in the PC market, rising prices of DRAM and NAND flash memory as a result of tight supply led to a particularly strong first quarter for Adata, the company said.

Adata swung to net profits of NT$1.33 billion in 2016 from losses of NT$44.9 million in 2015. The memory module maker saw its profits boom in the fourth quarter of 2016. EPS for all of the year came to NT$6.21.
