Recent reports claim that Samsung is convinced that the upcoming Galaxy S8 lineup will be very popular and is anticipating much higher sales. Therefore, the company is planning to have 12 million units ready at launch, with 4.7 million units of the phone ready this month and an additional 7.8 million in April.

The bad news is that the original release date has been pushed back from April 21 to a week later, on April 28. This was now confirmed by the popular tipster Evan Blass, but he didn't explain the reason behind the delay.

There are various rumours. The first one is the availability of Snapdragon 835 chipset, while other report says that Samsung wants to make sure that everything is perfect and prevent Note 7-like fiasco.
