Memory module firm Adata Technology has announced net profits for the second quarter of 2016 declined 26.5% sequentially to NT$88.25 million (US$2.85 million). EPS for the quarter came to NT$0.41.

Adata posted operating losses of NT$74 million in the second quarter, but the company's non-operating gains enabled it to generate positive net income.

Adata reported revenues for the second quarter increased 3.7% sequentially to NT$5.06 billion, buoyed by strong SSD shipments. Gross margin climbed 0.12pp on quarter to 7.27%.

Adata swung to net profits of NT$208 million in the first half of 2016 from losses of NT$238 million a year earlier. EPS for the six-month period reached NT$0.97.

In addition, Adata disclosed July revenues decreased 4.1% on month to NT$1.8 billion. The company's cumulative 2016 revenues through July totaled NT$11.74 billion, up 0.6% on year.
